Here are some common questions about the Member Management System:
Why is the LCIA going online? The online system makes it easy for members to join, maintain membership, purchase inspections, make donations, and connect with fellow members.
What type of computer do I need? You can use any desktop or laptop computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Is there an app? Yes, but the apps do not support membership renewals, so you should use your Android or iOS browser for full functionality.
Is there a cost to me? No, the LCIA absorbs all costs and the app is free to download and use.
What if I’m not good with technology? Don’t worry. Your data is already uploaded and is easy to change. If you have questions, just send an e-mail message to the LCIA for help.
Is my data shared? No. Our service provider, MemberPlanet, does not sell member information to third parties.
Is my credit card information safe? Yes. All financial transactions are encrypted.
Will other members see my information? Only your name is listed in the LCIA directory unless you choose to share more, and you can even block sharing your name.
Will I get unwanted emails by going online? The LCIA already uses e-mail to communicate with members, and you won’t receive any third-party messages or advertising.
What information do I need to become a member? All you need is your name, e-mail address, billing address, and phone number.
Can I join without an e-mail address? Yes, but you won’t be able to use the Member Management System. Call the LCIA for assistance.
Can I create multiple memberships with the same e-mail address? No. Each member must have their own unique e-mail address. For example, a wife and husband will need to chose which of their email addresses will be used to log in. Alternatively, the wife and husband may establish separate memberships.
Can I manage the account of a family member? Yes, but you must use their e-mail address as their login ID. You cannot establish more than one account per e-mail address.
Why am I asked for a password when I try to join the LCIA? This may occur if you are a member of another group using our service provider, MemberPlanet. Please send an e-mail message to the LCIA for help.
Are there different types of memberships? The LCIA has two memberships: Members can purchase winter property inspections, while Under-40 Members cannot.
How do I update my profile information? Just click on the blue circle at the top right of your personal portal page to update any of your member information.
How can I see my history of payments? Just click on the “History” option on the left-hand menu to view your payments.
How will I renew my membership? It’s easy. Just click the RENEW button on your member profile page.
I renewed my membership, but why did I receive a payment confirmation with my old expiration date? This is a known issue and results from us uploading your previous information and setting your membership expiration date to July 1, 2022. Your correct expiration date is shown on your member portal page. This issue should only occur in 2022.
How can I change our name(s) in the system? You can make this change in your Member Profile. For example, you can use “Sally Smith,” “John Smith,” or “Sally & John Smith.” The system is flexible.
What if I forget my password? No problem. Just click here
