We exist to ensure the Les Cheneaux Islands continue to be a place where people enjoy living and visiting for generations to come.

LCIA works to protect and inspect the Les Cheneaux Island area and its waters and connect those who love it. Our organization is comprised of several volunteer committees that are “working together for the betterment of our community.”

LCIA Membership, Donations and Volunteers
Since our incorporation in December 1922, LCIA membership has continued to grow. We currently have over 525 household memberships, each of which makes a minimum annual membership contribution of $50 to further our mission. As post-COVID costs increase, LCIA has instigated efforts to ensure the continuation of our services and community support. Since everything LCIA accomplishes is predicated on our selfless volunteers, membership contributions and donations, we are currently campaigning to increase our membership by 10%. Basically, we are looking for folks who care about our island community to join us…people like you!
